about Lynne

I have always had a fascination and deep respect for the natural world and this motivated me early on to attain a BSc degree in Zoology and then a MSc with an environmental focus. While completing my master's degree I entered the realm of motherhood and family life. Raising small children and volunteering at their school sparked an interest in childhood development and the learning process. I headed back to school again to become a teacher.

Life brought some inevitable twists and turns in the road re-directing my attention to my own mental health and wellbeing. These painful experiences have been among the most valuable. They taught me that life is about connection beginning with a kind and compassionate connection to self.

I have hit the reset button several times in my life. My reset led me to complete my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology in order to help others facing divorce and separation and other difficult life transitions. I bring experience and passion as I work collaboratively with my clients to build strong connection to self and to create the life they want and deserve.

You are unique. Your story is like no one else’s. You see the world through your own lens. You have a way of being in the world. I am here to honour that while offering new perspectives and support.

I approach therapy through a person-centred lens and draw from a number of modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness.

My passion is working with clients who feel overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, depression, grief, or navigating difficult life transitions. Together, we will set clear goals and process complicated emotions. Our journey will include gaining deeper insight, discovering new pathways forward, and making meaningful change.
